It's best if they are over a year old, but that mainly applys to girls. they should preferbaly be over 50 grams. but the males WILL mate sometimes just over a few months old but its best not to let them.

no absolutely not! If your leopard gecko needs a companion try another leopard gecko (you can not pair male leopard geckos with other male leopard gecko)
