Type your answer here... There is a black racer that has lived in our woods
(which is almost pristine) except for our home. We have seen "him" and his
shed skin on occasional years for over 15 years. He is at least 5 feet in length
and quite "heavy looking". Probably 2 inches in diameter for a considerable
portion of his body. And he can move fast. Our two cats (obviously) know to keep their distance. We've never killed any snake hereabouts except two
copperheads, and that over a period of over 40 years. We have a stream on our property which is 7 acres, which borders another rather natural 10 acres.
This guy is lucky, as are many of "our" other wildlife (including deer) who
hang around. bye
