I think I understand your question to mean a turtle that will live on land and in water both. If that is what you are looking for then there are a few options available to you.

The number one choice is "Cagle's Map Turtle". This turtle is "Diurnal" meaning it likes to be out of the water as much as in the water.

I have also found from personal experience that the eastern and western painted turtles are the same way. Mine spent more time wandering around the pond enclosure more than in the water.

These are all true water turtles and must have water deep enough to go under water to eat. They cannot eat on land, as I understand it. I haven't ever seen my turtles eat on land.

The Cagle's Map Turtle may eat on land because they enjoy fresh leaves as much as regular turtle food fed to them in the water.

One other Option is the Central American Wood Turtle. They are found basking more than in the water also.

There is a company with a web site where you can adopt turtles and they have all the above named turtles and are well educated on turtle care.
