The bite of a black mamba is generally considered to be fatal 100 of the time. Death occurs within 20 minutes as a result of the paralysis of the lungs and diaphragm. The only potential remedy is to be treated with proper broad spectrum anti-venom serum within the first few minutes. The braod spectrum anti-venom serum is required as not all black mamba species produce identical venom.

Can you get king snakes out after they have been fed?

Depends. The general rule of thumb is that a pet snake should be given 48 hours to digest their meal(s). If they are handled before that time is up, the snake may regurgitate the food. This is natural: in the wild, if a snake is attacked by a predator soon after eating a meal, they puke up the food in order to be able to escape quickly. If the snake is an adult, handled regularly, very docile, and used to the handler, it should be OK to handle it within 48 hours. This should never be attempted with a baby snake, as they are usually not used to being handled and will most likely vomit on the handler, which is not fun to clean up, trust me :)! I have a pet snake that allows me to handle him an hour after feeding without incident. So, it all depends on how tame and docile the snake is.

What if your baby ball python vomits?

Does it vomit when handled by someone? If so, this means that the snake is being handled too soon after eating. Snake handlers should wait a period of around 2-3 days after feeding to pick up the snake. The reason why snakes vomit their meal is because of instinct. In the wid, if attacked soon after consuming a meal, snakes will regurgitate their food in order to escape much more quickly. This is a natural thing, but im not sure if it can actually damage the snake physically. It definetely does not do the snake any good, and should be avoided at all times. Just wait the correct amount of time before handling the snake and it should not vomit. If you wait three days and the snake STILL vomits, then you should take the snake to a vet as soon as possible. Most snakes will grow out of this vomiting habit when they grow older and become more "settled" and mature. Hope this helps! I know from experience that snake vomit is not fun to clean up.....
