well, the obvious part is to deduct what the snake is, if it is a garden snake, just approach it and pick it up near the middle with 2 hands, then put it in a bowl with a cap and then (airholes) go put it somewhere else. If it's a poisonous snake, , walk away, they can't slither all that fast and then call the appropriate animal services
