A snake is a cold-blooded reptile. It take on the surrounding air temperature and is lethargic if cold. By moving into sunlight, the snakes body temperature is increased and the snake is able to move and function properly. The stimulus is the need to increase body temperature.

Probably. Most people keep lots of wild animals that they should not keep. Do whats right. Don't keep an anaconda as a pet. Keep a smaller snake, like a corn snake. hope this helps.
