Green turtles are seen in many places including Florida, Mexico and Hawaii. In Hawaii they are considered endemic because they do not leave the state, with a small percentage nesting on the main Hawaiian islands but most traveling hundreds of miles west to the sandy atolls of Midway, Laysan, etc.
