Which snakes eat rodents?

There are a couple of records of Eastern Chipmunks eating snakes. John Gilhen published a record of one case in the Canadian Field Naturalist in 2011. I've seen photos of a chipmunk eating a smooth green snake.

Whether the chipmunks kill the snake or take advantage of free, available protein is another question.

Most all snakes eat mice. The rat snake is known for eating larger rodents like brown rats. Pythons can take down a raccoon.
