Why do snakes hunt at night?

They don't always hey do hunt in the day but if they do hunt at night it is either because they have been following prey and need to kill it or so they can sneak up on sleeping animals they can also see in the dark.

They hunt at night so that they won't be seen by their prey. They are big enough that if they were to be in daylight it would be very easy to see them.
