Why does your bearded dragon wave his arms?

When a bearded dragon waves their arm usually its to tell you (or another animal) Its no threat .... well they move their arm in slow motion and look like they are dislocating because they awe using body language and say to eachother" Hey , lets be friends i dont want any trouble"

They bob their heads to either tell you to come, or to tell you to get away(if accompanied by flat body, and black, puffed up beard. They can get really flat but if there is no beard or anything like that, it's just basking.

beardies put their beard out sometimes to display aggression if there is another male or just something as simple as picking it up the wrong way. but the cool thing about beardies is that when it is about to rain out they can sense the drop in temperature and they stick their beards out but if you keep it is a cage or a terrarium they cant do this.

A common belief is that arm waving is a passive message, to indicate submission when a larger or more dominant beardie(or you) is near by.
