When a bearded dragon waves their arm usually its to tell you (or another animal) Its no threat .... well they move their arm in slow motion and look like they are dislocating because they awe using body language and say to eachother" Hey , lets be friends i dont want any trouble"
No, bearded dragons do not wave as a form of communication or social interaction. They may wave their arms for other reasons, such as stretching or adjusting their position.
Bearded dragons wave as a form of communication or to show submission. It is a natural behavior that they use to interact with their owners or other bearded dragons.
it's a sign of submission! they are saying "hello i am a friendly dragon! please don't eat me!" :) hope this helps! Waving is also part of the build up to mating, during this time (along with other behaviours) the male will nod at the female who will wave in return.
