A tokay gecko is a very common species of gecko. As they are now considered an invasive species, spreading across southern USA/ Mexico/ Asia/ and some southern parts of Europe, they can be purchased from a whole saler from 20-40 dollars.

A tokay gecko breeder may ask for more money for their animal as their genetics and health are guaranteed. In some cases, tokay geckos are shipped over seas by the thousands. They can be festered in bacteria, disease and are almost ALWAYS malnourished.

Also, some tokay breeders are now discovering tokay "morphs" a tokay with much more vibrant colors due to selective breeding. These include: Granite, powder blue, orange, red and even green tokays.
