There is no average, it depends on the owner's desires. Some owners like to own several small stores, and others prefer to own one or two big, busy stores. So some can own 1; others can own 7.
Every franchise owner has their own business license. If they own more than one McDonalds, they only have one business license.
If you own a McDonalds you can make anywhere in the range of $500,000/year up to $1,000,000+. and a good manager at a McDonalds can earn over $100,000/year
Not all McDonalds' are franchise, but a particular store would be a franchise if it were a corporate named business owned and operated by a private owner or company. For example if I owned the rights to a McDonalds, I would be a franchise owner. I would pay McDonalds a fee for using their name, property, products, etc... The profit from the store I own would be mine and I would control it. But I would effectively be renting the names and logos and services already setup by the McDonalds corporation.
i belevie Mcdonalds has about 1,100,000,000 stocks total...i happen to own 16 :)
