Hot rollers are heated cylindrical rollers used to create curls and volume in hair. They work by wrapping sections of hair around the rollers and allowing them to cool, setting the desired curl or wave. Hot rollers are versatile and can be used for various hairstyles, including loose waves, voluminous curls, or adding lift at the roots.
Only hot rollers. Ordinary ones only work on wet hair. Velcro rollers work on dry hair to so you can use them.
It is not advisable, to get the best curls you must dry your hiar prior to applying the hot rollers. If not you won't get much curl.
A hot iron will get hotter because hot rollers come off the heating element when you add them to your hair, but the flat iron has the heating element touching your hair at all times with a steady stream of heat

Hot Rollers!
Hair is hair; boys' hair can be curled in the same ways as girls' hair. You could roll it on curlers or hot rollers, use a curling iron or have it permed.
Usually a set of hot rollers will come with metal clips used to hold the roller in the hair, but if those are unavailable, you can always use good old butterfly clamps. I have a hot roller set and their are many different hot roller sets that have different times to leave them in. I have a set and I would say to leave them in from anywhere to 25-45 Minutes that should do the trick. Also another way you can tell of when to take them out is by feeling them with your hands to see if they have cooled down yet.
A curling iron or hot rollers can be used on a human hair wig. In order to curl a synthetic wig, you will have to wash it and then set it in regular rollers and allowed to air dry.
I have the striaghtest Asian Hair, and in high school during prom and homecoming dances, I used to use a whole bottle of gel, and pretty much burn my hair into curling irons before they would curl, but then I discovered hot steam rollers! I get in a hot steam shower, wet my hair, and dry it off until it is damp, but not completely dry, and spray some texurizer in it. Then I put the hot rollers in, and usually it doesn't take that long to make them super curly. After about 5 or so min I take them out and shake it loose. Sometimes if you want the hair to be wavy, but not curly, I do that the night before and sleep in the curls so they are looser in the morning. Hope it works!
Either. Obviously if the hair's dry, the rollers need to be hot. If you're rolling your hair while it's wet, they don't have to be. And although rolling your hair when it's wet takes a long time to dry, the curls turn out better looking and tend to last longer.
