It's generally worse to lie than to offer an excuse, as lying involves intentionally deceiving someone, whereas an excuse typically acknowledges a mistake or inability to meet expectations. However, it's always best to strive for honesty and openness in communication to build trust in relationships.
The best you can do is tell your teacher the real truth. You will make the situation worse if you lie. Trust me, I lied and I got in more trouble than if i told her i didn't do it. So tell her the truth. Your teacher should be your friend.
You should be upfront and honest....did you do it so that you have an excuse to end your relationship? perhaps you should consider why you did it before you tell her.TELL HER. Do not lie to her or omit information when telling her because continuing to lie isn't going to make the situation any better. Tell her because if she finds out a year from now, for example, it'll be worse because not only did you lie, you hid it from her all that time.
It means a cover for somebody, a lie or an excuse that will stop somebody from getting into trouble.
she lied about solving their problems, she only made them worse
Nick Minton has written: ''There is no worse lie...''
It depends on what the excuse is for. If it is a legitimate, or true, excuse, you just go to the teacher and tell them what happened. If you're trying to lie to excuse you not wanting to do your work -- don't bother, the teacher will know you're lying. Just say you didn't do it.
It's just like a lie but a lie that will be worse than a regular lie. I hope i answered your question. thx bi
Yesterday I think! haha I missed one of my test and I gave false excuse :3
tell them the truth, don't lie and make it worse.
I would lie to him too like "I will not leave you if you tell me the truth now." (pretending to understand him). The excuse for your lie is "Well you lied to me in the first place."
It simply means that it is worse to tell the truth to someone and have them misunderstand it than just to say a flat-out lie.
Tell them, in a friendly manner that you cannot walk to school with them. If it is a true friend, he or she will understand. If worse comes to worse just make up an excuse.
