What is Elizabeth Gilbert way to think about god and how does she do to find herself?

After reading Eat Pray Love, I really believe that the God that Elizabeth Gilbert found was her very inner self. She peeled back all of her hang ups, beliefs, fears, values and found her inner core. This inner self then was rebuilt and I believe that the balance she found is "God".
