What is Reinstatement Basis of Cover ?
The most common method of insuring commercial buildings is on a Reinstatement Basis.
Cover is determined by the cost of repair or reconstruction at the time of loss as opposed to at the start of the insurance period.
This will most likely have increased during the policy period as a result of construction cost inflation.
The selected Sum Insured therefore must include an allowance for this inflation, not only during the period of insurance but also during the rebuilding period.
A loss may not occur until very well into the policy period, possibly almost at expiry so it is vital that the selected Sum Insured allows for the potential of an extended period of reinstatementMedicare does not cover maternity. Most insurance companies will be happy to send you a copy of your insurance policy in a pdf form. Generally just call up the company and ask them for it, or log onto your insurance company website and you will usually find your policy available in a pdf.
Absolutely, Yes, you can make a PDF display its actual cover page (thumbnail/preview) instead of just a generic PDF icon, but it depends on what you mean by cover: Inside the PDF (first page as cover) When you open a PDF in Systweak PDF Editor (or any reader), the first page is normally the cover page. To set or change it, just make sure the page you want as cover is the first page in the document. You can rearrange pages in Systweak PDF Editor using the Organize Pages tool. Outside the PDF (icon preview in Explorer/Finder) In Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder, PDFs usually show an icon. If you want them to show the actual first page preview: Windows: Install a PDF handler (like Systweak PDF Editor, Adobe Acrobat) that enables thumbnail previews. Make sure in File Explorer → View → Options → Always show icons, never thumbnails is unchecked. Mac: Finder already shows PDF page previews by default. Embedding a custom cover (metadata/preview image) Some PDF tools let you embed a cover image (not just page one) in the metadata so apps (like e-readers or cloud drives) show it. In Systweak PDF Editor, you can replace page one with your custom-designed cover page, which effectively becomes the displayed cover everywhere.

If you have insurance through your employer, and you are the policy holder,(the insurance is in your name) this insurance will be primary for you, and your spouses insurance policy will be secondary. The insurance policy thru your spouse's employer, (your spouse is the policy holder, or the insurance is in their name), this would be primary for your spouse, and your policy would be their secondary.
