Shame is an emotion that often relies on self-awareness, as it involves feeling distress or embarrassment about one's own actions, thoughts, or appearance in relation to societal or personal standards. It requires the individual to reflect on themselves and their behaviors.
The first step is to acknowledge and validate the emotion you are feeling. Take a moment to identify and name the emotion without judgment. This self-awareness can help you better understand the root cause of the emotion and respond to it more effectively.
self-awareness is when you understand yourself and your feelings and habits. With self awareness you get over things faster but I believe there are no consequences. it all depends on the person and their attitude about it. If people say you have too much self-awareness and it's making you anxious, to me, it's not that, you can be self-aware and engulfed with yourself or think too much about yourself. My mom says I know more about me than most adults do, I'm 17, and I only use it when I'm breaking a habit or how I'm treating people. I just do it.
Conscious awareness of your own name and self-identity is associated with the prefrontal cortex in the brain. This region plays a crucial role in higher cognitive functions, including self-awareness and introspection. Dysfunctions in the prefrontal cortex can impact a person's sense of self and identity.
In some respect it does. self awareness is being aware of where you are and what you are doing. greater awareness is knowing what is going around you and understanding it for what it is; therefore you can rationalize your actions which refers to self awareness.
Self awareness is the conscious knowledge one's feelings, motives, feelings and desires.
