water heater nameplate 28A 240V can be on for periods longer than 20 minutes (continuous duty) so must derated 10% 31A .

minimum standard wire size #8 30A, 35A or 40A fuse no time delay needed.

air conditioner 25A 120A LRA 240V

minimum standard wire size #10 30A fuse time delay needed.
