Go to the crown shop and under the display picture of the item, there should be an icon that looks like a present. If it's colored, you can gift it by clicking it and selecting a friend on your friend list to give it to. If it cannot be gifted, it'll be grayed out.

you can but things either at the shopping district, the shop bazzar that you can find to the right as soon as you enter olde town,or you can buy crowns with money and buy something at the crown shop. the icon to get in the crown shop is in the left hand corner, its a picture of a crown. crowns usually cost like $5.00 for like 2,000 crowns or something like that. to buy crowns click on the crowns icon on the left hand corner and then click 'buy crowns' on the right hand bottom of the crown page. it will go to wizard101's page on the internet. on the left hand side there are a row of options, click on buy crowns. then type in your username and password. click on the amount you would like to spend and press 'buy crowns' beneath. type in your credit card number ect. then you are done. note: you can only buy mounts, new hairstyles and packs from the crown shop, the crown shop has a richer variety of pets, clothing, accessories, houses and more. if you can't afford to but crowns i would recommend bazzar, it doesn't sell pets but but everything else, like tons of furniture, tons of clothing, tons of shoes, you can also buy seeds and rings, amulets, wands, staffs and so much more. the variety of stock at bazzar is far better than the shopping districts. bazzar's stock is a lot cooler and has more variety then the shops at the shopping district. you can buy pets at the shopping district choosing from a dragon, an imp, a blood bat, a flying piggle and a unicorn, you are able to name your pets yourself and can colour the dragon and the flying piggle how ever you like. the shopping district also has a shop where you can re-colour most of the items in your backpack and even change your pets names. when you purchase items, a certain amount can be added to your health or mana, for instance, lets just say i had 988 health then i bought a crypt keepers rope that had and extra 80 health (crypt keepers robe may have more or less extra health that i have used) so when i equip the new rope 80 health is automatically added to my health so i end up with 1068 health!

also, if you can get into different worlds you can find plenty of other shops in those worlds.
