How was Shopping habits in the past?

In the past shopping was very different. the cost was much less and things werent as good of quality. When i was younger i didnt live near a market so it was very so often that i could go to town. My family only had one car and it was for emergencies! I didnt live a very good childhood but i got used to it and actually enjoyed the presence of my only friends(cows)!!!! Glad you asked! Shops were NOT AT ALL like they are today. There were no malls. Shops were most likely small. They sold things such as food, cloth, and maybe already made clothes. It depends on how past you mean.

I think that shopping in the 1800's to the mid 1900's would of have been hard, because there was not a lot of money to spend on clothing and food, and food was rationed. I can't imagine shopping then, because it was probably difficult, but I'm not sure, that's what I think! Hope this helps!?
