I've had mine for 9 years and I can't feel it unless I push really hard to get the back in. When I first had them and changed them it was a bit strange , but you get used to it:)
Hoop earrings can get in the way sometimes and make your ear lobes itch but they are pretty. Regular dangling earrings feel like a tiny little thing is in your ear but its painless.
If you have regular dot or stud earrings, it doesn't really feel like anything. But i am wearing hanging earring right now so like when you shake your head and the earrings move it just feels like your ear is swinging and it doesn't hurt.

depends may feel really uncomfortable the first time you got your ears pierced.But when it sinks in its just gets noral and its like nothings in your ears. But if your ears to long without earings the opening shuts and you'll have to open it again this is very painfull.
There is a special test to use to find that out. Put them in a glass of water and leave it there for 36 hours or more. If you take it out and scratch the "gold" part, it should NOT feel like sandpaper. If it does, it is not a real gold earring.
