Well it really depends on how durable you will need the ring to be. While 14K might cost more, and eventually be worth more in the end, that ring will not stand up to regular wear-and-tear as easily as a 10K ring. Gold is a naturally soft metal, and the higher the content, the easier your ring will scratch/dent/deform. I am of course talking about the general scrapes and marks you get from every-day activities.
ROC on 10k or 14k gold typically stands for "Ring of Confidence," indicating the quality and authenticity of the gold used in the jewelry. The numbers (10k or 14k) denote the purity of the gold, with 10k containing 41.7% gold and 14k containing 58.3% gold. This marking assures buyers of the gold content and craftsmanship of the piece. Always ensure to buy from reputable sources to verify these claims.
he “K" in 10K and 14K gold refers to the karat of gold. The term "karat" (K) designates the amount of gold found in a piece of jewelry. Pure gold is 24K and signifies 99.9 percent purity, the highest you can buy. Pure gold is very soft. Jewelry is often made in 10K, 14K or 18K. These indicate the content of gold per karat. 10K gold is 41.67% gold 14K is 58.33% gold 18k is 75% gold. Gold is mixed with other alloys to produce a harder, more workable metal that can be used for making jewelry
It depends as most 14k gold will have a deeper or richer gold color to it. 10k tends to be a little brassier but again, it all depends on what alloys are used in the pieces. I prefer 14k when it comes to my chains as I like the deeper rich tone to it and it's worth a bit more than 10k. It's all just a preference really and if the 10k shines more than the 14k it's just because it has more alloys and the mixture of them is making it do that. If you're thinking in terms of which to buy for your precious gem/gem's I would always choose 14k. I prefer to not have too much of that brassy shiny look and more of the richer tone. :):)
The price of the rings will vary widely depending upon what type of ring it is. You will not be able to buy a new ring for much less than $100.
Maybe the crystal ring is better... or a diamond ring: which ever you prefer or the bride prefers.
well, in pawn shops your lucky if you get $30.00, usually they'll only give you $20.00, but to buy a 10k gold ring is worth alot. you could sell it for anywhere from $50.00-$150.00 if your looking at buying a 10k white gold ring, i would say $50.00 is a reasonable price. no one in theyre right mind would sell it for less than 45.00

You should first make sure you and your boyfriend/girlfriend are ready to become engaged. Then you should make sure you are financially stable to buy an expensive ring.
