I was in 10th standard in 1996,but this is what I remember for 1996 fashion

• People were starting to move away from straight-legged and pegged jeans to wide-legged jeans. The goth ideal was starting to regain popularity. United Colors of Benetton, Doc Marten, and Champion were popular brands to wear. People wore crew sweatshirts instead of hoodies, and black jeans were a staple for girls. Cargo pants for girls and boys were popular, and little kids wore overalls a lot more than they do now. Shoes were chukier--platform shoes were gaining popularity.
