Joining a 4-H club is free, but there are expenses. You have to pay for the things you need to complete 4-H projects. For example, if you do the "Clothing" project, you have to buy your own material and supplies to complete the project. Some of the projects can be costly, but all of them aren't. That is something you might want to consider when you select projects to do.

Also, your local club may have "dues" that you pay, either per meeting or per year. Those are set by each club and usually aren't that much. Money is used for activities for the club or whatever the club decides to do with it.
