Well, I was a eagle scout & from my experience of boy scouts I would have to say that boy scouts are harder than girl scouts. In boy scouts you have to go to camp outs that are sometimes more than a week long , with girl scouts you have to maybe sometimes go on a camp out that may last at the most 2 days. This doesn't even include the physical requirements a boyscout has to have to make it to a higher rank such as eagle, so i would have to say boy scouts would be harder.
Another perspective: their missions are very different, so it's hard to compare how difficult they are. Girl Scouts progress in leadership skills and plan their own programming as they get older. Boy Scouts also plan program, but it appears that most of the content is set up by the national association. While the path to Eagle Scout or the Gold Award is a rigorous one, not all scouts pursue these goals.

∙ 13y agoThe two programs can't be compared since one is for boys, and the other for girls and would be a opinion basis. Both programs hold the same value.
Both of these fine programs started at about the same time. The Boy Scouts were started in 1908 by Lord Baden Powell in England and came to the US in 1910.
Girl Scouting in the United States of America began on 12 March 1912 when Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low organized the first Girl Scout troop meeting of 18 girls in Savannah, Georgia. Low, who had met Baden-Powell in London while she was living in the United Kingdom, dreamed of giving the United States "something for all the girls." She envisioned an organization that would bring girls out of their cloistered home environments to serve in their communities and experience the open air.
Both of these programs have evolved over the years and continue to grow and update the information they pass along to their youth members to make sure that their members receive information that is relevant to the times.
