Once a badge is awarded it cannot be taken back so you will not lose your rank. If your service hours,camping logs, etc are stored in the book, and no where else, you may have a problem.
Many, if not most, troops these days record advancement information outside of the Scout Handbook. You should speak with your Scout Master and/or the troop advancement coordinator for advice on how to re-establish your records.
