Why are some orphanages poor?

Gee, thats quite an unusual and strange question, i must say!! But many children/babies go to orphanages because its too difficult for the parent(s) to have a baby (they cant afford it, was an accident ect.) Orphanages have children and have to pay for everything themselves, bills, schooling... children cant work so theres no support coming from the children either financially. They are not given enough money by governments as well sometimes. I must say i admire orphanages quite a lot! Of coarse the wealth of an orphanage all depends on which country it is in, some are poorer and some are richer than others. I simply used common sense here... hope i helped! :)
