You might never find out unless he or she tells you. However, if they don't, the following are possible signs (using a man as an example):

• If he shows some kind of interest in another man whom he either doesn't know or is not a friend.
• Gender variant behaviour's a clue (i.e. shaves more than usual for a man), however, it can be seen in straight people (though it's rare), and it might not always be seen in gay people, especially if they're hiding.
• Unusually large amount of female friends (not counting ex-girlfriends, those are a good sign that he's straight)
• If he has an unusually nurturing personality

Don't assume anything, though. Chances are, if he's married to you, he loves you, and is attracted to you.
