What did the KKK do to black people?

The objective of the Ku Kux Klan, and other white supremacy groups, was to terrorize blacks into a secondary or subservient role. This was intended to prevent blacks from gaining wealth, authority, or elective influence. In times of economic hardship, they were determined to have employment opportunities and government that favored whites. Accustomed to blacks as slaves, they did not relish having them as equals, or as masters.

Violence by the the Ku Klux Klan took the form of shootings and cross-burnings to intimidate the black masses. They were also fond of a method of torture called "lynching". They would not only hang the blacks, but would storm their houses and drag them from their beds in the dead of night to do so, often in front of their families. They would murder as many as they needed, to maintain their atmosphere of terror.

A group called the KKK had formed after the civil war. It was a group in the south and their main purpose was to show that whites were still superior to other races. This group had a passionate hatred towards the blacks. Klansmen killed over 150 African Americans in one Florida county. They wore white robes and masks over their faces to conceal their identity. They would shoot into peoples houses, burn their houses down and lynch families of blacks. basically they hated the blacks and a little while after they started to hate catholics and Jews too.

Just to add on that the members in the Ku kLux Klan thought that what they was doing was right, they thought that it was what god wanted. If you look at some pictures of some of their meetings you should see a cross.

They commited some of the most violent and evil acts ever done to people. They hung black people, set them on fire, dragged them behind cars and horses. The crimes were commited with little or no provocation against black people simply because they were black.

The Ku Klux Klan or the KKK, Lynched and burned blacks, to "put them in there place" they are still an organization that is very racist and have hurt many people.
