A "sissy-girl" is supposed to be a girl that is a sissy, or wus, weak, baby or any of those. I personally think that no one should be calling names. Girls have it tough most of the time. Especially teens and young adults. Some of the stressful things like guys, motherhood, early motherhood, periods, wondering how we look, being made fun of, gossip, and SO much more that i cannot even explain obviously make us "sissy girls". I think that just because we get stressed out or are not strong enough or whatever the case is that we are all strong. And if a guy, or even another girl told you that you are a sissy, you should NOT listen. I am considered "popular'' and i have went through the stage when i was mean and would call people wusses and sissies and all that crap. I think that no one has an excuse to call another person a name, that usually means that there is something wrong with them. And sometimes guys may call you a sissy because you won't "DO" anything with them. Don't listen to that either. If you don't want to do something then don't do it. I know this is getting kind of personal. Sorry about that lol but anyways YOU ARE NOT A SISSY. I may not know you but there is no sissies out there. Everyone has the strength in them, a lot of us just haven't found it yet. So anyways a sissy is supposedly a wuss, baby, weakling, or anything like that.

It is a slang term for a somewhat over-cautious or cowardly boy, not the type to indulge in Halloween pranks, clearly. The probable origin , which somewhat implies effeminne category comes from (Sister) which could also imply piety-Sisters of Charity, for example. By the way a similar, almost synonym for the sissy- or chicken type was , and it was more common in the sixties - was Mary. Used in the slogan, which this writer recalls at a summer camp- John Franconeri-(which means Black stamp, by the way) -he acts like a Mary! clearly rhyming slang.

A sissy can also refer to a role in emasculation fetish play. The role is that of a man who has surrendered or been stripped of the prerogatives and symbols of manhood.

Asissy is a boy who acts like a girl eg put on makeup,pants the nails nice. put on there couthes sissy are mostly boys with no male role model but then they may have been put in a dress or skirts and then they like it.
