Why do teens go under the influence of peer pressure when they do drugs?

Because they want to be cool, sometimes the only way to keep one's friends is by doing what they do. Or, if their friend says "try it please its super fun" would you not just "try" it?

Other times parents just SAY its peer pressure when maybe it was their child's idea. duuh, kid's CAN think for themselves.

If your friends start using drugs, they very likely will pressure you to use drugs. On the other hand, if your friends do not use drugs and you are either thinking about using them or are using them, they can pressure you not to have anything to do with drugs.
