Is slavery an institution based on dominance and submission?

In my humble opinion, absolutely not! This is the sort of thing that gives the D/s community a very bad name and these days it is a sad state of affairs as it is. Slavery was only bad people exerting their will over a group of people with no means to defend themselves (I am of course referring to the American south). Now days slavery is still alive and well unfortunately (I am talking about non-consenting slavery not slavery in an adult relationship between consenting adults). Dominance and submission in an adult relationship is by mutual consent (very different then the slavery of the American south).

What are some similarities with fashion in the 1960's and tody's fashion?

the 60's consisted of high rise pencil skirts, form fitting dresses and belts and bright colors like coral and orange and blues. you can see the inspirations for fashion in the 60's is going from the classy and cute 50's to the more colorful and vibrant 70's. if you see the fashion today, you see more and more young people going for high rise pants, bell bottoms, form fitting pencil skirts or dresses. as for color, coral and oranges are very hot right now. also, in the high fashion world you can see medium length trenches that come in bright neon yellows and other bright colors paired with classic hair, makeup, and some flats. these things show all of the 50's 60's and 70's inspiration. 60's just happens to be the happy medium that we love. hope that helped!
