To survey with a total station, set up the instrument properly on a stable tripod, then level it using the built-in bubble level. Select the surveying mode, aim the telescope at the target, and record the horizontal and vertical angles along with the distance measurement. Repeat this process for multiple points to create an accurate survey of the area.
When deciding the stations of a chain survey, factors to consider include the size and shape of the area being surveyed, accessibility of the stations, terrain conditions, accuracy requirements of the survey, and any existing landmarks or boundaries that can serve as control points for the survey.
Survey participation rate is calculated by dividing the number of people who completed the survey by the total number of people invited to participate, and then multiplying the result by 100 to get a percentage. The formula is: (Number of completed surveys / Number of invited participants) * 100.
The main difference is the method of measuring distances. Tacheometry is optical. A total station uses electromagnetic waves. Distances measured using Tacheometry are determined by multiplying the difference in readings to a levelling staff between the upper and lower stadia hairs, by a constant (usually 100). A Total station, by definition, is a theodolite with a built-in EDM measuring device. This sends out a signal of a known wavelength to a reflector and calculates the distance by measuring the time it takes for the signal to return.
The word is spelled "survey."

Use the total station.
there are many total station machine with different specification. now gps, robotic total station available they work with one person. easy way to survey of land.
who is the dealer of total survey from Pakistan
It was actually I who invented it as a way to work alone since I did not like my layout/survey partner. C.A.M.
