It is very unlikely for anyone to die from eating pumpkin pie at room temperature. As a matter of fact I had pumpkin pie at room temperature today and have several times before. I would not be concerned about death._________________________Pumpkin pie does not spoil; instead, it dries out. It is still "good" as long as you can still chew it. I am unaware that anyone has died from eating dried-out pie.
