∙ 10y agoI am not aware of any world wide figures, but in the US, for example, 1 out of 5 women age 14-49 have genital herpes (for men it is 1 out of 9). Based on this data alone, I would estimate at least 1 out of 4 people world wide have a STD.
a matter a fact there are about 30 million people with STD'S
Tens of millions in the US have a sexually transmitted disease.
Studys are done regularly throughout the world, however as the incidence of STD's is so big in poor countrys it is imposible to come up with acurate figures, many people die before a cause of death is ever recorded.
