very very many people including me , most people who have trich think they are alone but they are not.... I have trich! its really embarassing.
In the US alone, it is estimated that 4-10 million people have trichotillomania. This number is hard to estimate however because so many people with this disorder choose to keep it a secret. It is considered a "rare" disorder but in truth it's only rare because it isn't well known to both people who have it and people who don't have it.
It is estimated that 1-2% of the general population may have trichotillomania. The disorder is more common in females and often begins in adolescence.
No. The best-working grammatically correct form of your question is "How many people are at your home?" Also acceptable are "How many people are you at home with?" "How many people are at home with you?" "With how many people are you at home?" and "With whom are you at home?"
How many people in the world practice Buddhism?
As of 2021, an estimated 260,000 people live in Wolverhampton.
Lots of people
many people use it a day buckethead!
Some young children between the ages of 1-5 can have trichotillomania but almost always outgrow it. For people who have trichotillomania over a long period of time or who are lifetime sufferers, it usually begins at puberty. Trichotillomania is also most common in females.
Currently, psychologists think that it is caused by an emotional unbalance. People without trichotillomania are able to regulate their stress and boredom (overstimulation and understimulation) whereas people with trichotillomania seem to be incapable of balancing these out naturally. Therefore, they turn to pulling for the balace that they need. Hope this helps!
trichotillomania
To be honest I have no idea what the term for plucking at bedclothes is. However, people with trichotillomania can also have the "craving" to pull hair from pets, blankets, etc. I guess it would go under the same category for someone with trichotillomania but for someone who doesn't have the disorder I really don't know... Hope this helps!
Yes.
In short... no.
There is NO reason why you can't do ANYTHING with trichotillomania! TTM doesn't limit anything you are able to do. Trichotillomania may be a disorder caused in the brain but it doesn't make anyone with TTM any different than any perfectly healthy person. TTM may be a disorder but it's more like an unbreakable habit. People with TTM are capable of anything!

Trichotillomania Trichotillomania (TTM) is an impulse disorder that causes people to pull out the hair from their scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body, resulting in noticeable bald patches. It is currently defined as an impulse-control disorder, but there are still questions about how it should be classified. It may seem, at times, to resemble a habit, an addiction, a tic disorder or an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is estimated to affect one to two percent of the population, or four to eleven million Americans.
