How many social science are there?

This is not something that you can really put a number on as nobody really agrees on a definitive list. There are two reason for this.

First, many traditional social science fields, like psychology and sociology, have in recent years become both mixed with each other and also fragmented into numerous smaller fields. So some people may, for example, consider social psychology and developmental psychology to be two different sciences while others would group them together as one.

Also, there are serious ongoing debates in these fields among researchers who use scientific methods and those who use the critical and interpretive methods that are traditionally associated with humanities. Often, those in the critical and interpretive camps, even in traditional social science fields, actively resist having the label of "science" applied to either their work or their fields as they find such a label limiting and biased.

I would recommend that you take a look at a few department lists of different types of universities. You will get a good sense of the fields that are frequently included, but you will also see the confusion in how different universities determine which areas of study are worthy of distinct departments.
