If you are under the age of 18, you are considered a minor and must have a parent or legal guardian with you. If you are not of legal age you would have to be moved to a foster home. Unfortunately, homeless shelters are full of children under 18, but they are there with parents or family members. It's not a good way to spend a childhood.

Age requirements to stay at a homeless shelter can vary depending on the specific shelter's policies. Generally, individuals must be at least 18 years old to stay at a shelter independently. Some shelters may provide accommodations for minors if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. It's best to check with the shelter directly to confirm their age requirements.
