First of all, I'd like to remind you that racist jokes are not acceptable by any race, unless the race you're making a joke about is either: A: your own race, B: okay with you making those jokes. Jokes are meant for everybody to enjoy, don't use them to promote racist tension. The reason we find it more widely acceptable for white jokes to be made on tv, movies, radio and other media sources is because of the the history the world has had, especially the United States. Whites, through recent history have been in the racist side, and usually caused the social problems we've had, making non-white jokes only makes these social issues worse, or theoretically it does. Rest assured that this will change as more time goes by, but not anytime soon because it's recent history that we've left behind. Native American jokes will always be thought of as horrible because their land was taken away by white people. Blacks were segregated about 50 years ago, not enough has passed to be making racist jokes about black people (Unless they're okay with it, individually). The Chinese Exclusion act was removed about 90 years ago, because it's been almost a century it's now becoming more acceptable to tell Chinese racist jokes, except for in segregated places in California where the Chinese are struggling socially to integrate to society, it's best not to make too many jokes about them. Hispanics, Latinos, Mexicans, and anyone else that lives or comes from Latin America-- they haven't had much racist history in the past, most of their injustice is happening today! So it's not the best time to be making racist jokes about our brown brothers. Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, and other states have been making discriminatory laws to unlawfully (according to the Constitution) stop them for a misdemeanor and deport them. Alas, now you know why the white race is the most preferable when making racist jokes, specifically by the media in movies and tv. As we leave behind our racist history, this will change and it will be more acceptable to make jokes of other races. ------ Think of it this way: when you make fun of yourself, no one else will get hurt feelings about the joke except for yourself. IF you make fun of someone else, for any reason, they would be the ones getting hurt feelings, you would not. There are some people who like to laugh at their own race and other races. However, there are probably a lot more people who would get butt hurt over hearing someone make fun of their race. I'm sure there are plenty of white people who would get butt hurt over jokes black people tell about them and vice versa.
