Easily, Allen Ginsberg has to be the most obvious answer. His poem Howl is the definitive beat anthem, and his Supermarket in California is a beautiful ode to Walt Whitman; by expressing his emphatic love for the nineteenth century poet, he claimed his place as the voice for the twentieth century.
William Carlos Williams, although known for publishing before the Beat era, also belongs in this category. Red Wheel Barrow had themes which align with Beat values, and he also wrote the preface to Howl. It may be more appropriate to call him the Godfather of Beat Poetry.
