However, it would be easy to argue that China already have transitioned into Stage 4 as China has a lower CBR and CDR than even France (prb.org, 2011), which is a Stage 4 nation. The textbook is outdated, as it does not account for the recent boom in the Chinese manufacturing sectors, heavy industrialization.

Its at a reasonable stage cause even though we have witnessed a number of deaths due to economic melt down, a lot of people in the global diaspora have maintained a higher than average standard of living in those destinations.
