What is Darwin on the amazing world of gumball?

Yes. Darwin is a fish. The clues that led to the realization that he was a fish is: 1: In one episode Darwin woke up from a fishbowl 2: If you remove his legs and arms, you have a perfect replica of a fish 3: The thing sticking out of Darwin's head is a fin if you look closely 4: And if you notice, when Darwin is not talking his lips are always puckered up like a fish. Fin + sleep in fishbowl + Head of a fish = Darwin/Goldfish

How does social Darwinism help business such as Carnegie company?

Social Darwinism didn't shape Carnegie's business practices. Carnegie began to worship Herbert Spencer after he became wealthy, and he was comforted by Spencer's views, feeling that they justified what he had done, but he ignored some of Spencer's theories and became a philanthropist after he retired. He provided pensions for his workers and supported the 5 day work week, which Spencer would not have, although his actual philanthropy involved building libraries and contributing to them. Carnegie had begun life poor and believed that people could improve their situation in life. That wasn't part of Spencer's philosophy. Darwin didn't actually coin survival of the fittest, and his book On the Origin of the Species came out after Spencer's. Spencer expanded Darwin's theory of evolution to connect it to society. The problem with that is that all people are in the same stage of evolution, and no one is any more evolved than anyone else, some are just more greedy. So evolution really has little or nothing to do with social Darwinism, and probably should be called laissez faire Spencerism. Rockefeller said that the growth of large business (monopolies) was survival of the fittest and that some people were destined to live off the hard work of others. So it is safe to say that Social Darwinism didn't shape their business practices, but that they used it to justify them.

How did imperialism come to be associated with Social Darwinism?

Imperialism became associated with Social Darwinism as proponents believed in the idea of natural selection and survival of the fittest being applied to societies. This provided a justification for the domination of one group over another, leading to the belief that stronger nations had a right to expand and dominate weaker ones. This ideology was used to justify the exploitation and control of colonies by imperial powers.

Who Came up with the idea of natural selection independent of Darwin?

The scientist Alfred Russel Wallace actually studied the idea of natural selection before Charles Darwin. Wallace and Darwin later became research colleagues, but Darwin became more well known after publishing "The Origin of Species".

Why was A R Wallace sidelined by Charles Darwin at least in modern eyes?

I'm not certain that Wallace was sidelined; he was more of a field biologist that Darwin - apart from Darwin's voyage on the Beagle. Darwin's publications before his work on natural selection had made Darwin very well known and celebrated. Wallace, was pleased to be associated with Darwin and without Darwin, the theory of Natural Selection would not have been taken so seriously. Darwin's publication of Origin of the Species sealed his fame; it became a best seller and Darwin became strongly associated with the theory. Wallace agreed that Darwin deserved the credit as Darwin had done most of the research behind the theory. Wallace and Darwin corrosponded throughout their lives and Darwin considered Wallace one of the great thinkers on evolution.
