School is seen as a bridge between family and wider society because it provides children with the opportunity to develop social skills, interact with peers from diverse backgrounds, and learn about societal norms and values. Do men have an easier life than women?

People will have different views about this, and this is one opinion: Due to the patriarchal nature of society, men do have it easier than their female counterparts, at least in the workforce. Although equality is looking more and more like a real possibility, we as a society cannot ignore the cultural norms that place women in an inferior position. To expand that view, equality in the workforce has resulted in women having a wider variety of "duties" in society. Not only are they working outside the home, they are also largely responsible for the children and home. Though there are couples who share those responsibilities, the cultural norms are that children and home duties lie with the women. In that respect, men do have an easier life than women. This is a reversal from the time when women mainly stayed home and raised their children, when men actually had it "harder" in that they were responsible for providing for the family without having a second income from the woman.
