Electricity is dangerous because the body's nerves run on electricity. The heart, brain, spinal column, and nerves all run on the transfer of electricity. When extra electricity is introduced to the body, it overloads all of these parts. This is the reason why when people are shocked they become stiff and their heart starts to race. The heart is usually the first one to stop from overexposure of electricity. The heart will start to beat to fast causing cardiac failure. If the voltage is high enough, the brain literally fries. It is not believed to be dangerous in small doses, but even the small doses can have an effect on the heart and cause cardiac arrhythmia. It is also believed that it might lead to some imbalances in the brain.

Electricity is potentially dangerous because it can cause electric shock, which can lead to injuries or even death. Additionally, faulty electrical systems or appliances can cause electrical fires. The high voltage and current associated with electricity can overwhelm the human body's natural electrical signals, disrupting normal function and causing harm.
