Some people consider that slaves are needed, so whole groups of people are humiliated into the chosen slavery and kept there by being made to feel there is no way out.

Other reasons for excluding people socially may be because they may have neurological problems which prevent them from communicating or working efficiently or they may be disfigured, overweight disabled, or more outrageous than the 'acceptable norm. they don't measure up to the societal ideal of what is beautiful or profitable.

i feel this answer is pretty close. from the time we are born we live in a society that teaches us whats right and whats wrong. so if our parents are raciest then they teach their children to be. everything that we learn is handed down from generation to generation and it just gets worse over time. our society believes it is okay to treat people like this because it is no there way. as an example Hitler did not want any Jew's and well we know what happened there. all human beings are blind sided by the inner beauty of it all. they look at whats on the out side and or personalities the language, anything that differs from them. if they look goth they are in a separate group, preps are in a different group and so on. as also the groups themselves have been made to feel this way and so now they see others as them not being like them and they don't understand and that they don't get them. people are just blind sided by the actual appearance of others. there is no love like there use to be. hope this could help.

What kinds of attributes make people into outcasts?

Basically, any characteristics or attributes that are different from the majority might be a reason for them to be made into outcasts. In the US Bible Belt, an Islamic person might be considered an outcast. In Saudi Arabia, a Christian would probably be. And that's just using religion as an example. Someone who has a larger-than-normal nose may become an outcast. Someone who is ugly or obese might not be accepted and therefore become an outcast. These are just some examples.

Badly, from what I hear. They are usually outcast and forgotten about, Asians don't see people with disabilities as potential functioning members of society. It's taboo to talk about because only the 'white man' can be this much of a prick.
