Primary attractions are those which are the main reason for taking a

leisuretrip. They tend to be those attractions where visitors will spend

most of their time either because the site is a vital resource for a preferred

activity or it is necessary to spend several hours at least on the site to

enjoy all its elements and to obtain value for money. In the latter case the

attractions are often those with relatively high entrance charges. Based on

these two explanations of primary attractions, it is clear that two good

examples are beaches and theme parks respectively.
