XGlite is a subset of Yamaha XG, an extension to the General MIDI standard, created by Yamaha (from wikipedia). XG offers over 600 instrument voices compared to the 128 available with General MIDI. XGlite, from the little bit of research I have done on Yamaha keyboards with that feature, offers between 360 and 400 instrument voices.
