most house are not air balanced! Air balancing is using a heat loss caluation to determine the energy required to heat or cool a room the location in each room to southern exposure a small room would need less air the larger room would need more air. the rooms located closest the the heating are cooling source will tend to get more air. you would use what we call balancing dampers to slow the flow of air to the warmer or cooler rooms? On commerial construction we hire special trades to come in and balance a system as per engineers specifications. House are small and can be done by the home owner.
