It is possible that abortions cause you to have miscarriages because when they remove the baby in the abortion they will probably weaken the womb or even tear it. This means that it is more difficult for another baby to stay alive in the womb as the womb would be weaker. This does not always happen though. Some people have an abortion and then have loads more kids. It is just luck really and how strong your womb is i suppose.

Habitual abortion. There are spontaneous abortions (miscarriages) and therapeutic abortions (induced by someone and some means). If you have multiple miscarriages, the term habitual abortion is used to indicate a problem carrying a pregnancy, and does not imply induced abortion.

Are miscarriages abortions?

In medical terminology, any time a pregnancy is interrupted before term, it is called an abortion because the pregnancy was aborted or stopped. Miscarriage is another term for this, however, it implies natural causes leading to the loss of the pregnancy. Induced miscarriages performed through a woman's right to choose, are also abortions and now this terminology has become associated mostly in lay usage with these elective abortions as opposed to a natural miscarriage. But the terminology that is most appropriate in a medical sense for all interruptions of pregnancies, regardless of the cause, is the term "abortion" and in that use of the words, they mean the same.

What does it mean if a woman is G3P2-0-2?

G3P2-0-2 The G is the number of pregnancies the woman has had, so she has been pregnant 3 times. The 2 is how many times she has given birth, so she has given birth 2 times. The 0 is number of miscarriage or abortions, so she has had 0 miscarriages or abortions. Indicating she is currently pregnant because if she has been pregnant 3 times, given birth twice, but had 0 miscarriages/abortions - then there is one child yet to be accounted for, so she is currently pregnant. The last 2 is the number of living children she has.
