In the event of dangerous play, severe fouling or other misconduct, the referee may, in addition to awarding a penalty throw, warn a player, send them to the sin-bin for a standard time of 2 minutes or for a specific time pertaining to the discretion of the referee; or send the player off. Players sin-binned will be recalled to the field of play only with the consent of the referee.

Usually, a player sin-binned for the 2nd time will be treated as if 'sent off' for the game.

The Goal Keeper should take the backline throw in. The Goal Defence and Wing defence should position themselves at the same side the backline throw in to reduce the ball from being passed across the goal circle in case the opposing Goal Attack, Goal Shooter or centre court players should make an easy interception. The Centre should move out of the way to make space and move out of the goal third to receive the ball further down the court. The GK has two options and can move back into court after the pass has be take to receive a pass if necessary.

In netball, GD (goal defence) defends the goal attack and trys to stop them getting the ball down the court. If the goal attack gets the ball into the circle and under the ring then the goal defence must defend him/her and attempt to catch the rebound if the shot misses. The goal defence must then help to pass the ball back down the court to their attacking team members.

Irene was a provincial hurdler in her younger days, so she was always atalentedathlete. It wasn't until she was 17 that she not selected in her schools second team. A scout noticed her and asked why she wasn't playing the the top team and asked her to go toprovincialtrials. She got in the team.
